Bernard (“Barney”/ “Dave”) Jacek, 95, of Avoca, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Wesley Village Campus Pittston where he was a resident for the last nine months. He was born in Avoca, August 6, 1924 and was the son of the late George and Bertha (Soltys) Jacek. Irene (Haduch) Jacek, 86, of Avoca, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 28th. She was born in Duryea, February 15th, 1930 and was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Bednarczyk) Haduch. Irene was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish, (SS Peter and Paul Church), Avoca. She was a 1948 graduate of Duryea High School.
