Paul Lokuta, 80, of Avoca, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Avoca, January 3, 1942, and was the son of the late Michael and Anna Hokien Lokuta. Paul was a graduate of Avoca High School, class of 1960. He then joined the US Coast Guard and served during the Bay of Pigs Invasion near the southwest coast of Cuba. He worked as a machinist for Midway Tool and Die until its closing and just recently retired

Christine Lokuta, 91, of Avoca, passed away on Tuesday, April 17th at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. She was born in Avoca, March 12, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Peter and Evelyn (Grella) Dombrowski. Christine was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. She was a 1944 graduate of Avoca High School and Lackawanna Business College, Scranton. She was a very active member of SS Peter and Paul Church, Avoca until the time of its closing. Christine was
